New Block from Blackbird Design

And this weekend my Middle Young Son, Michael received his Master's Degree in Finance - here is a pic
Here he was on the stage when they "Hooded" him... so proud!! Hugs, Mary

    Congrats to your son! Interesting block. I see so many appliquers prep their whole block this way, never seems to work for me.

      Thanks Carla.. yes I prep my blocks first w pins then baste pieces down w Hugh stitches..it makes it easier for me to see where everything is going to go and audition different fabrics at the same time...I really enjoy this part of the process...its the only way I know

    I remember this Blackbird Designs pattern. The house designs were quite popular.

      Yes actually its a bed runner by barb Adams..book is tending the garden..I've always wanted to make this...trying to prep all my applique projects for summer sewing that are portable
