HAPPY BELATED FATHER'S DAY TO ALL YOU DAD'S!!

YESTERDAY WAS SPENT PAMPERING HUBBY! AFTER CHURCH, WE WENT OUT FOR BREAKFAST WHERE WE FATTENED UP ON PANCAKES AND WAFFLES!! OH, HE LOVED THAT! THEN WENT TO OUR LOCAL POOL TO HANG OUT, BUT THE RAIN BLEW IN, SO WE ENDED UP AT THE MOVIE THEATER. WE SAW "THE HAPPENING" (DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY...KIND OF A SILLY MOVIE, LOTS OF BLOOD), BUT THAT WAS HIS CHOICE. THEN ONCE HOME HAD A BARBEQUE FOR HIM. HE IS A VERY HARD WORKER, AS HE WORKS 6 DAYS A WEEK AT HIS FAMILY BUSINESS. BUT HE IS AN AWESOME DAD TO OUR THREE KIDS!! HE WORKS SO HARD SO THAT THEY CAN HAVE EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE SOMETHING OF THEMSELVES AND FOR THAT I AM TRULY GRATEFUL AND BLESSED!

MY OWN FATHER DIED IN 2004 FROM CANCER, SO HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT HIM MANY TIMES YESTERDAY ! HE WAS ALSO AN AWESOME DAD! HE RAISED 4 DAUGHTERS ALONG WITH MY MOM AND WORKED TWO JOBS TO DO IT! WE HAD PRIVATE "PAROCIAL" EDUCATION AND DROVE EVERY SPRING TO FLORIDA. "HIS GIRLS" ALWAYS CAME FIRST IN HIS MIND AND HEART, SO AM SENDING UP A HUGH KISS AND HUG TO HEAVEN, AS I KNOW HE IS UP THERE! MISS YOU DAD WITH ALL MY HEART!

BACK TO QUILTING...LAST WEEK I WON SOME FABRIC FROM KAREN AT "SEW PRIMITIVE QUILTS" BLOG, YEAH! I RARELY WIN ANYTHING, SO IT WAS A TOTALLY UNEXPECTED WIN! I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!! THANK YOU KAREN!

I AM READY TO SEW BLOCK THREE OF THE MISSOURI STAR. HERE IS PIC OF BLOCK ONE AND BLOCK TWO (HAVE TO PUT A FEW FINISHING TOUCHES ON BLOCK TWO) AND THEN OFF TO BLOCK THREE! AM LOVING THE PROCESS NOW, AS I AM PIECING BY HAND. WHAT DO I DO WHEN PIECING BY HAND? YOU ASK....WELL, WATCH TV! I LOVE "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE" WHICH IS ON NOW FOR THE SUMMER...AS THEY ARE ALL DANCING I AM SEWING, JUST LOVE IT!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

"IT'S NOT WAITING OUT THE STORM...IT'S LEARNING HOW TO DANCE IN THE RAIN"
ANONYMOUS

"IF YOU LIFE TO BE 100 YEARS OLD, I WANT TO LIVE TO BE A 100 YEARS ALSO, ONLY MINUS ONE DAY, SO THAT I DON'T HAVE TO BE ALONE WITHOUT YOU!" WINNIE THE POOH.

WELL, HAPPY SEWING!

HUGS,

MARY
