Inspirational

Today I am at work and visiting a lot of quilting blogs...one in particular I love to visit is Norma Whaley, she put this quote on her blog: "Sadness gives depth. Happiness gives height, Sadness gives roots. Happiness gives branches. Happiness is like a tree going into the sky, and sadness is like roots going down into the womb of the earth. Both are needed, and the higher a tree goes, the deeper it goes simultaneously. The bigger the tree, the bigger will be its roots. In fact it is always in proportion. That's its balance." -Osho, Indian spiritual teacher. It reminds me of my Mom...My Mom is 91 going to be 92 this July. She has seen soo much in her 91 years. She has buried everyone of her friends and relatives, my Dad, a grandson, yet she gets up with a smile everyday, she pushes forward even though her body is frail, her mind, thank God, is strong. She is the first to give her opinion and the first to give a complement. She is the backbone of our family. She never ceases to amaze me, and with Mother's Day coming up, I am blessed that she is still here to celebrate with myself and my 3 sisters. Her sight is failing but her Spirit is strong! ....Hugs, Mary
