Changed my mind.....

Well, cannot find a background fab for these wonkies, so I went back to fabric store on another search.....this is what I picked.....I think it goes better....actually it looks "Bohemian" and that is he look she wants so..... and this will be the binding fabric:
Here is  a close up of the fabric that will be used to space blocks:  really pretty I think....would look cute on a chair I think?!?!?

Oh well how are all of YOU doing???  Love to hear from you,

Wonkie's

Well, after staring at these two options for the background, I think I like this one better, what do you think???  Actually, they are three backgrounds that I would have to sew together as I don't have enough of just one....but she wanted Bohemian, so I guess it would work??  If you look closely you will see it is three different fabrics?

What do you think??
Thanks,
Hugs,
Mary

Wonky Blocks finally finished!!!!

Hello everyone!  Finally finished the Wonkies and am now auditioning setting fabric.....originally was brown, then tried hot pink, but i think I am going with the Blue/Torquoise color.  What do you think?????????????

I still have to square each block to 15", but just wanted to see what the background fabric I should use....

Also took a pic of the mess these blocks are in making - but fun!

Whoops got my foot in that one....this isn't the arrangement of the blocks either, they will by 4 blocks then row then 4 more, well you get the picture hopefully,

Happy Snowy Wed here in Chicagoland,

Winter Rose, Part III

Hi Everyone,

Well, have been working on my Winter Rose Wallhanging and have finished the first two blocks and 3rd block is pinned not basted yet, but couldn't help but take a pic:  what do you think?  I am loving making these blocks, they aren't too big that they are awkward to hand sew, just the right size,

Also, went to my fav fabric store and I know I shouldn't have, but, I did, so here is a sneak peak at some yummy fabrics:

What I am going to do,have no idea, couldn't resist, actually went to buy the pink and white stripe fabric and this is what I came out with!!
Well, Happy Snowy Monday here in Illinois...

Hugs,

Mary

I just joined a Finishing Up club...

Hello everyone,

Well, I hope all is well with all of you and that Santa brought you all your wishes....Santa was very good over by my end of the world...but truly having my kids home and family, sisters and nieces and nephews here for Christmas Eve I truly felt blessed.

Now for the New Year, 2013 YEAH!!  I am Not starting any new projects until I finish some of my old ones, like the Wonky Log Cabin Throw I was starting to make for my youngest, for her dorm bed....and then the Pomegranate Wall hanging that I am hand stitching or appliquing I should say, because I have to get those out of the way to start my oldest' wedding quilt (Oct of 2013) so I have some time on that one....so I joined this Finishing up Club - the button is on the side of my blog....check it out, lots of members...

So here is what I have to finish:

Sooooo here are a couple of unfinished projects that I HAVE TO GET DONE IN 2013!     Capital Letters shows that I am serious :)

Well, Happy New Year everyone and have a great weekend,
