RECENTLY, AT PAT SLOAN'S YAHOO GROUP, SOME OF THE LADIES HAVE POSTED TEA TOWELS THAT THEY MADE. I FOUND MYSELF IN AN ANTIQUE SHOP A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO AND FOUND THIS SIMPLE TEA TOWEL. I WAS DRAWN TO IT, BECAUSE OF IT'S SIMPLICITY AND WONDERED WHAT THE LADY WAS THINKING OF WHEN SHE MADE THIS TEA TOWEL. THE BOTTOM OF THE TOWEL WITH THE RED SHE ADDED, WHICH DOESN'T QUITE MEASURE OUT PERFECTLY, SOOO I THOUGHT IT WAS REALLY COOL!!
JUST THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE... THE STEMS OF THE BIRD AND BRANCH MUST HAVE BEEN BIAS CURVED PIECES AND I THOUGHT IT WAS SO UNIQUE THE WAY SHE OR HE MADE THIS!

What a great discovery. Good for you. I also read where you are piecing by hand. I don't do any of that if I can help it but I do find it rather soothing when I bind my quilts. Take care and good sewing to you.

Here is the name of a quilt shop owned by a great couple...Jenn and Tim....tell them Pat from Delaware sent them (and will be there in November with TWELVE quilters for a week). There is a small quilt shop inside an antique store in Manteo, but this one (info below) is much better and does a big internet business, too....a little tricky to find, but it's worth the effort as they have nice stuff.

I am so touched that you picked something up for me there. It wasn't necessary but it will surely be appreciated. For some reason, I can't get an email through to you...keep getting an error message.
